Born and raised in Denver, CO Emily became interested in yoga, meditation, pranayama and alternative medicine following two spinal injuries and two autoimmune disease diagnoses that left her using a walker after 24 surgeries. She credits yoga, Ayurveda and a healthy lifestyle for healing her autoimmune diseases and giving her the ability to live an active lifestyle. Emily has been an adjunct professor for over a decade, and loves teaching Sociology and Professionalism online for Purdue University Global. Emily is also a military spouse and a mother of two, and loves to spend time with her family, go paddleboarding and hiking. She is a 300-hr certified Ayurvedic Wellness Coach and loves to integrate Ayurveda in her life and her yoga practice. Emily strongly believes yoga is for everybody and is passionate about empowering others on their own wellness journey.
