Global Day of Unplugging Retreat (Kaka‘ako)
March 8th, 1-4pm Yoga Under the Palms Kaka’ako $50/$40 for members on autopay Global Day of Unplugging Retreat Led by Courtney Khan Are you ready to step away from the dig/ital world and connect with what truly matters? Elevate human connection over dig/ital engagement in this 3 hour unplugged mini retreat in partnership with Global Day of Unplugging. We will begin with a flow a plunge class where we move through a heat building vinyasa flow class followed by an optional guided dip in our cold plunge tub chilled to 50 degrees. Then we will gather for a guided meditation and journal circle focused on connection with strategies for unplugging and a bite to eat (plant based & GF). This experience will end with a restorative yoga practice. Global Day of Unplugging is a global movement. From sundown on March 7th to Sundown on March 8th. Research shows that health and human connection have been adversely impacted by overuse of technology. Your phone holds thousands of unread emails, endless photos of strangers showcasing only their best moments in life, and constant notifications. It is a major source of daily stress because of the vast amount of information that is available at our fingertips. Author Anne Lamott writes, “Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” After taking a break from technology as a community, we gain an appreciation for the role that it plays in our lives and we are better equipped to establish healthier tech habits going forward.
