Anya started the practice of Yoga in 2010 during a deployment to Afghanistan. During that time she would watch DVDs with yoga instructors and saw results both physically and mentally.
Over the past 10 years she has practiced under many teachers in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Tacoma, Phoenix, and Honolulu. Returning to the mat no matter where she was in the world to breath, center and calm the nervous system.
She has a background in nursing for over ten years and uses her knowledge of anatomy and injury management to better serve her students.
She is a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and has begun working toward her 500hr certification with Jason Crandell. She has completed continuing education in trauma conscious yoga and in the art of teaching beginner students. She is also the mother of a 4 year old who loves yoga.
