April is Autism awareness month and a time very close to our hearts. April 2024 is also when our non profit organization Open Mind Yoga Hawaii will officially open at Yoga Under the Palms Kaka’ako.

Your registration and donation will directly support kids with autism in our local community. All proceeds from this class will fund financial aide for families that cannot afford to attend the program, specialized supplies and sensory equipment. 

Join us for a 75 minute all levels yoga class led by Summer, owner of Yoga Under the Palms and founder of Open Mind Yoga Hawai‘i. This donation class is a celebration of neurodiversity and the special needs that we all carry that make us unique. 

About Open Mind Yoga Hawaii
Open Mind Yoga Hawaii was founded by Summer and Corey Rothwell, the owners of Yoga Under the Palms and parents of two boys on the Autism Spectrum - Kai, age 9 and Keala, age 7. Open Mind Yoga Hawaii is an after school offering for kids on the autism spectrum that is rooted in aerial yoga - a sensory friendly activity that is well loved by members of the autism community. “We understand the lack of after school resources available to kids with autism. Our goal is to create a program that kids can can attend with their insurance provided therapists. We are starting small with a two day/week program but plan to grow this program to serve our community 7 days per week
