Hyla began practicing yoga as a way to care for her body as she trained in competitive gymnastics. She decided to become a teacher when she discovered the mental and spiritual aspects of the yoga practice and how it can transform lives. Yoga reminds Hyla that she can move through life with a light heart and a sense of wonder. She enjoys sharing the opportunity with others to cultivate awareness and compassion for themselves and for the world. Students can expect to create a balance between effort and ease in a safe space where they can feel comfortable and free. She also feels a strong connection to nature and enjoys weaving that theme into her classes.
