About Lauren Nix
“The body is the vehicle, consciousness the driver. Yoga is the path, and the chakras are the map.” - Anodea Judith
Lauren is originally from Texas but moved to Oahu in 2018 to teach elementary school in Wai'anae. She started routinely practicing yoga shortly after she moved and noticed many benefits, not only for herself but also for her students when she gave them yoga breaks in the classroom.
She fell in love with the yoga classes offered at CorePower Yoga and felt inspired to teach, so she received her 200 hour instructor certification in sculpt and vinyasa. Teaching keiki has always been a huge part of her life, and she was able to combine her love for teaching and yoga to develop a yoga and mindfulness program at a Title I school in Wai'anae.
Her students learned to use yoga and meditation as ways to calm their minds and bodies as well as navigate through the challenges they face.
Through her love for yoga and teaching, she has found her passion in empowering and inspiring her students of all ages and levels to use yoga as a way to cultivate peace and healing. While she loves the physical challenge of yoga, she embraces the mind + soul connection.
