Suzen Kukana Murakoshi
Suzen Murakoshi (Aerial Yoga) received her teacherʻs training in aerial yoga and restorative yoga in NYC. She is a writer and performer from `Aiea who has now returned to the `āina after appearing on Broadway: A Chorus Line and The King & I. Suzen has performed throughout the US, Canada and Europe. As a playwright her work was produced at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Penumbra Theatre in Minneapolis, the Calgary and Edmonton Fringe Festivals, United Solo and at La Mama in New York City. Suzen is also the Artistic Director of Hawai`i Public Theatre, and has devised physical comedy shows Cookies and HāHā Hawai`i with Aitor Basauri (Spymonkey, UK). She has taught at NYU, UH Mānoa, and Punahou. She is also happy to now be at Yoga Under the Palms. TV: Magnum P.I. Suzen holds an MFA in acting and playwriting from the New School Drama Program, a BA in Theatre from the UH Mānoa, and an AA in Hawaiian Studies at WCC. She is also a senior practitioner with Yamuna, USA in bodywork.
