
Tanya Mau
Tanya (ERYT 500) has practiced yoga for 20+ years (Hatha, Bikram, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar). Initially entering yoga for physical benefits, she eventually found the benefits of healing the mind as well. Trained with Mary Bastien (200 hr) of Open Space Yoga and Yogi Charu (300 hr Hatha; India retreat 2018). Aerial Yoga certified (2024). Yoga balances her life as a mother, educator, and social justice advocate. When she is not teaching (in the classroom or in the yoga room), she can be found hiking or adventuring with friends or her two teenage sons. What she loves about yoga is that there is always something more to learn and grow in. Grounded, balanced, and fearless, both on and off the mat, she enjoys sharing yoga with all levels, placing an emphasis on the breath and alignment for balancing the body and mind. One of her favorite parts of teaching is ending class with meditation, bringing steadiness and openness to the mind.
