We designed this space for our students to feel connected to nature and disconnected from the modern world that demands our constant attention. The absence of the mirror supports students to journey inward and connect with their bodies on a deeper level. Native Hawaiian and tropical plants were chosen to make the space feel unique to Hawai’i and speaks to our roots as a Native Hawaiian owned studio.

Taking class at Yoga Under the Palms gives students the opportunity to embrace our natural environment as it slowly evolves and changes. One day you might be focused on a branch, then the next time you practice you notice that branch has produced a bud, then the bud becomes a flower and that flower eventually falls to the floor. A gecko might join you for savasana or you may experience the soft melody of the Palms rustling in the breeze. When you leave and reenter back into your day, our hopes are that you feel rejuvenated as if you just attended a (1 hour) yoga retreat.
